Education · AISep 2025 to Sep 2026 · Curriculum Content Developer and Contributing Instructor UCLA Extension. AI Marketing Implementation: Automation, Agentic and AI-Driven SEO Why they asked meI was a top student in Antonio Pagano's UCLA Extension course. After it ended, he invited me to co-create a course that takes working marketers from using AI to building with it.The learners were professionals with jobs, not engineers. Each of them had to ship a working AI agent by the end of the term. What I delivered The full 11-week curriculum, from AI agent design to AI-driven SEO The AI Fluency Playbook for Marketers, a standalone module A term-long capstone framework where learners built autonomous AI agents and automation pipelines Live instruction for select sessions, plus the capstone briefing and full-course revision materials The struggleOne class, two worlds. Some students had never used AI. Others were already building. Most were marketers, not coders, and the capstone still asked every one of them to ship an autonomous agent. How I handled itI built the course in layers: AI fluency first, then prompting, then no-code tools, and agents last. Every lesson was tied to a real marketing task, so beginners never got lost and advanced students always had something to build. What the course covers The UCLA Extension course I co-created: MGMT X 413.7. Students then took their agents back to work and used them on real marketing tasks. What I learnedPeople don't fear AI because it's hard. They fear it because nobody showed them the first step. A clear first win changes everything. In their words "Maher's performance was so exemplary that after the course concluded and final grades were submitted, I invited her to collaborate with my professional team on projects focused on the next frontier of AI in marketing. Her ability to translate classroom concepts into real-world results made her an ideal partner."Antonio Pagano, AI Strategist and Executive Educator, UCLA Extension Faculty
SaaS · FinTechJan 2025 to Sep 2026 · Content Strategist and AI Marketing Head Maven Systems. Marketing a bookkeeping app from almost nothing to a full system. Why they hired meWe have a product. We need the marketing behind it, on every channel.Maven Systems is a B2B SaaS brand in finance with a bookkeeping app. When I joined, there was almost no marketing in place. What I delivered Social media strategy and content across LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube and Threads Website and landing page content Meta ad campaigns: creatives, copy, audience targeting and optimization Email marketing: newsletters, automated sequences and audience segmentation An educational course, from lesson structure to learning materials An AI social listening tool that tracks brand mentions and sentiment, and flags sensitive posts for leadership The struggleBookkeepers are a small, specific audience. And finance software is hard to make feel simple. Every message had to be clear enough for a busy professional to get in seconds. How I handled itI built one connected system instead of separate channels. Social and ads brought people in, the website and course explained the product, and email kept the conversation going. What I'm proudest ofGoing from almost nothing to a full marketing system: social, website, ads, email and a course, all speaking with one voice.▶ Watch Trudi Bruce's video testimonialMeta AdsEmail automationAI toolsCourse design What I learnedIn SaaS, education is the marketing. When people understand the product, they don't need to be sold on it.See the Bookkeeper Rate Calculator I built for Maven on GitHub
